How WalletExchange compares
One method, applied the same way to every provider and every request.
What we rank on
WalletExchange’s primary ranking metric is the net amount of destination cryptocurrency you would actually receive for the amount you send, after each provider’s own fees and rate are applied. Not the advertised percentage fee. Not the headline exchange rate. What actually arrives in your wallet.
WalletExchange currently compares quotes from ChangeNOW, SimpleSwap, and StealthEX. We plan to add more providers over time — this comparison method applies the same way to every provider we support, now and in the future.
What we normalize
- Rate and net amountEvery quote is converted into the same shape so amounts are directly comparable, regardless of how each provider’s own API reports them.
- Network and assetWe distinguish a native asset from a wrapped or tokenized version of it, so you are never comparing native Monero to a wrapped representation by mistake.
- Rate typeFloating and fixed rates are labeled clearly, since a fixed quote and a floating estimate are not the same promise.
- Timing and fees, where providedEstimated time and fee breakdowns are shown when a provider’s API actually returns them, and marked “Not provided by provider” when it does not. We do not estimate on a provider’s behalf.
Compensation does not set the order
WalletExchange may receive compensation from a provider when you complete an exchange through them. That relationship has no influence on how quotes are ordered. Quotes are ranked strictly by net destination amount, calculated the same way for every provider, every time.
